Profile
The youngest of three brothers, Riki is a militaristic genius who enjoys out-smarting anyone who challenges him. While that might lead one to think he is selfish and assertive, he is actually quite the opposite. He quietly likes watching people and will sit and listen as a friendly ear, only surprising people with a competitive streak when they underestimate him.

Life
With no chance at his kingdom's throne, Riki dove headfirst into his interests in the military and politics. He studies both, along with global history, making him a strong contender for traveling the world for his kingdom's good.
He is a big table top board game fan, with his standout being chess. He owns a very beautiful board made of high quality wood that he loves to play on. Otherwise he is found relaxing in the kingdom's gardens reading some non-fiction books, digging out whatever he can find of a particular topic and binging the subjects until he can't find any other information.
He doesn't get along with his older brothers, but will engage the minimal amount of small talk with anyone who wants his attention. He will egg people on to have them take most of the time talking, listening intently and asking pointed questions when they trail off. He gives little of himself to others, and is somewhat cold and prickly because of it.
As the youngest of three princely brothers, Riki has struggled to make himself known amongst the rest of the court. His strategy growing up was to just sit and watch patiently, and he catches peoples' attention by surprising them with his intelligence and perception.
Growing up in a kingdom that respects nature and harmony, his interest in the military and global history grew ire amongst the other nobles. With the freedom to travel around, he is able to learn about advanced technology, much of it is confusing and he doesn't care to play with it more than is required.
As there are fewer Princesses as Princes to go around, and with no plans to inherit the throne, he is one of two Princes courting Pemby. He's given up his rivalry with his brothers and has made a new enemy in Guntram, as first impressions were important and they started off on the wrong foot.
Trivia
- He likes making pointless bets with people when they start chess games with him. He has a small collection of useless trinkets in a small box in his room. He refuses to take anything of value.
- Even though he's a very strategic thinker, his kingdom is technologically quite behind all the others, so it's unlikely he could do little more than defense if his kingdom comes under attack.
- Absolutely talentless when it comes to magic and swordsmanship. He can do little past the basics.
- While he's normally very quiet, coax him enough about his interests and he will tell you everything he knows.
Relationships
He is very gentle and polite around her but tends to be a little more affectionate in private spaces. She loves his intelligence and could listen to him speak about history and his other interests for hours. He tends to bring her small trinkets from his land whenever he visits. This is the one relationship he has where he tends to talk more than the other, and his relaxed demeanor around her surprises himself.
Since they're both courting Pemby, they have an intense rivalry. They behave in public but tend to argue in private spaces. Riki loves Guntram's floral tattoos but would never admit it. He also finds Guntram annoyingly charming and wishes he had his people skills.
