A man who promised his beloved that he'd rise to power for the sake of his people, but is constantly in mourning after she passed away. He usurped the kingdom he lived in by force, and is constantly stressed about keeping it under control. While he seems calm on the outside, he's always simmering with a small blend of anger, anxiety, and worry. He has a short fuse to anyone that isn't his daughter.
He does his best to lead a kingdom on nothing but whims, assumptions, and threats. He orders everyone around who plead loyalty to keep their life, and has a strained relationship with just about everyone in the palace.
Laurium is always on edge, but makes time for his daughter every evening, the only thing left to him in his family. This is his only time he can be seen unguarded and gentle.

- A tired old man with a triangular face; he wears glasses for reading, and has a pointy goatee.
- Hair: Washed-out green, incredibly long and wild, he keeps a bit of it in a pair of braids.
- His fingernails are a very pale lime green, and his hands are a little claw-like.
- Is a confident, powerful leader, and comes off very stern and not approachable.
- His eye is the same green as his hair. He cut into his face and tore his left eye out for a ritual, replacing it with a brown and gold mana stone.
- The gold tattoos on his skin are ancient magic runes, unreadable to most people.
Life

A Kykloura who usurped the royal thrown a few years ago, promising safety to any other Kyklourans who settle in his lands. In those few years, the Kylouran population on his world went from 14 worldwide to 30 in his kingdom. He wishes to bring Kyklourans back to their former glory.
His wife passed away during the birth of their daughter due to an unrelated illness. He successfully overtook the throne while said daughter was a toddler, as he promised to his beloved he would. He's sent his firstborn son off to hop worlds to find others of their kind while he himself manages the kingdom.
With his current goal of glory, he's sent his son off to find more Kyklourans on other worlds. While he's been in power for a few years, he has little trust from those working for him in the royal court, and even less from other countries and kingdoms.
Disappointed by his son Houghton questioning him on his methods to power, Laurium has quietly decided he will be molding his young daughter Kallio into the future ruler when he steps down.

- He can use a massive spread of magic, though his natural affinities are to dark and earth elements. Using light and electric elements tires him quickly, as neither were within his natural capabilities.
- The runes on his leg and arm look like they're made of gold foil, but are embedded into his skin.
- He's mentally ready to go to war with Lilith, but his advisors continue to tell him it's a bad idea.
- He sacrificed his left eye in a bid of power, promising his beloved that he would bring Kyklourians to their historical glory.
Relationships
She was the most important person to ever exist, to him. He pledged his whole life for her happiness, and wept for her diagnosis of a terminal illness no one could put a name to. Her pregnancy with Kallio weakened her significantly, with her passing shortly after childbirth. He changed as a person completely with her no longer being a constant influence...
Their relationship strained greatly after the passing of his mother. Houghton feels nothing but apprehension for his father's goals, and as time passes, his respect and love for his father dwindle...
Laurium worries about his daughter constantly. As she looks much like her mother, Laurium can't help but feel some grief when he looks at her, missing what was once there. He loves Kallio more than anything left to him, however. He has decided she will be the heir to the throne, and hopes to find a powerful young Kyklouran to betroth to her.
An archivist and scribe created by the royal family (Laurium with some assistance from Houghton and a third mage), Nisula was created to work for Laurium without question.
A queen of the closest kingdom; Laurium is prepared to go to war over her land, though many reccommend he keep his head low.
